NASARAWA STATE SCHORLASHIP

Nasarawa State Scholarship Board, as a parastatal under the Ministry of Education, is committed to providing the following services to the state government and students of Nasarawa state Origin studying at tertiary institutions within the country and overseas: -

Formulation and Review of Policies governing the Award of Scholarships.
Conduct of Interview/screening in respect of all the eligible students of Nasarawa State Origin studying in Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria and overseas.

1.       Formal recommendation of suitably qualified applicants for Overseas Training to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, through the Honourable Commissioner for Education for final approval.

2.       Awarding Scholarships and improving the welfare of the Students

3.       Payment of Internal Students Maintenance and Other Allowances

4.       Providing Guidance and Counselling Services to Students.

5.       Contact with other Government Establishments, Institutions of Learning and any other Bodies or Persons on matter relating to the Award of Scholarship.
