APPLICATION OF PUBLIC RELATIONS STRATEGIES AS TOOL FOR RESOLVING CONFLICTS IN SOUTHERN KADUNA: The study examines the role of public relations strategies as a tool for conflict resolution in southern Kaduna. The sample size of the study was 99 member of the community of southern Kaduna. Primary data was used for the study. Data were generated by means of self-administered questionnaires and were analyzed using frequency and percentages. The study found that public relations strategies adopted by the government is not adequate in preventing and resolving community conflicts in Southern Kaduna. The study concludes that a major factor responsible for the incessant crisis in Southern Kaduna is because of lack of grass root approach by the government in tackling the problem. The study recommends that the government should pay specific attention to the factors identified by the communities as being responsible for the occurrence of conflicts. For instance, the government should be mindful of the immense implications on the perception they enjoy from their host communities.
